When do they usually release flights from Buf to MCO? I am going in May and keep looking every other day! Also has anybody found it cheaper to book the first day they release flights? Or closer to the date?
Thanks a million

The general rule of thumb lately has been that you need to grab the flights as soon as they are released -- prices do not seem to go down over time, they go up.

As for the next release, Southwest publishes this on its site.

And is it easy to fly out of Buffalo? We're converts now. The airport is easy to get to, there are plenty of places to stay if you want to go the night before, parking is easy, security is simple. And even with airfares at levels that the locals complain about, it's still far cheaper than flying out of Pearson.

When we were returning from MCO early last month, the flight attendants did a poll and asked for a show hands from people who would be crossing the border after we landed. Everyone onboard had their hand in the air!

As a general rule, yes, but as a practical matter, no. When you purchase that far ahead, there is a lot of time for airlines to run sales. And then the prices are lower. That's why I recommend Southwest. They have multiple non-stops per day on the Orlando-Buffalo route and if there is a lower fare, you can rebook your reservation at no charge and get a credit toward future travel, valid for one year. So you can't lose.

Interesting.

SW has nonstop flights for $89.00 one way in May pretty much every day with the exception of a couple of dates.

Thank you for the heads up. i have never flown out o the states before....but think i am going to wait for JetBlue....don't ask why, i just hope I can book it the first day to get some great rates!
