I have started looking at flights (first time doing a non package/flydrive)

Any recommendations for sites you've had success with reasonable prices in the past would be most welcome please.

Not sure quite where to start!

Wils we have used www.netflights.com ,used to be called airline network & are/were part of Gold Medal. They have the advantage of listing everything that is available.

Do you have set dates? let me know I will do a quick look for your dates and tell you cheapest sites. Are you considering indirect?
Seen some cheap(£311) but going Tuesday 30th Mar for 14 or 15 nights. these were London into either MCO or Tampa. Miami just a few £ cheaper.

Thanks Wayne :)

Leaving 2nd or 3rd April from Midlands or London to MCO
Returning 17th

Might consider indirect depending on saving!

We are 2 adults and 2 kids (4 & 7)

Nothing much under £500pp indirect. Mainly because some companies have still not released prices, its a little early. Couple of sites I just checked said only booking upto 14th April.

Thanks Wayne

I'll wait to early next week and then start looking in earnest!

It could be an idea to look out for Virgin Atlantic flight sales as sometimes you can get direct flights to Orlando for under £400. But like Wayne suggested going indirect or into Tampa etc could also be an option we did that in 2007 and just decided to stay in Tampa for first night and then went to Busch Gardens for the day before we drove to Orlando to check into the Villa.

Thanks Wayne

Send me a PM or post in this thread next Monday or Tues, I will have another look. Don't leave it until Thursday, we will be on our way to Florida :goodvibes

Thank you :)

Any special plans for this trip Wayne?

Relaxing:cloud9:
Wasn't supposed to be going until August so its a bonus trip, only 9 nights.
Have a meal planned at Bubbalous with cast member friends and another meal at Chilis with Rob and family(fuse04) apart from that not making any plans, just hoping the hot temps continue.

I've started looking around for us (2A & 1C (9))too. We've got to fly from Aberdeen to either Manchester or London, so don't want to go indirect from there.
I haven't found much in the way of a bargain yet! We really need to get to MCO on the 27th March and leave on the 10th April. I've also got over 56,000 Virgin miles and the Missus has over 10,000 if that helps. (I can't see that they help though, maybe an upgrade or a companion?????)

Any help / suggestions greatly appreciated......

Thanks Wayne :)

You're going at the same time as us!! :goodvibes
We booked a package with Virgin - mainly because I'm the only one out of the 4 of us who's been before (2 adults, 2 kids 12 & 8). The kids haven't really flown before, so we thought direct was best, and for packages Virgin was coming out same or cheaper than anyone else. DIY would probably have been cheaper for us, but for ease we booked with Virgin. Will shop around for park and attraction tickets early next year though ;)

Exciting to see what you come up with! :thumbsup2
