Flights booked finally!

I was beginning to think nothing would come within booking range of DH (AKA scrooge) but today found some Delta flights from Leeds Bradford (only 6 miles from home) for £435 and the terrible thing is that it means we have to add 3 days on at the end of the holiday (shame!!)

These were with Delta booked through Netflights for 13-30 May (12-20 was only £417). There are 2 changes but they're good times (not too long). Just watch tho' - Virgin will drop prices by a mile very soon knowing my luck.

We had to add a few days on last Easter with the ash cloud, you just have to take what life throws at you some times
Similar price to what we paid for next week, great when you can still get sub £500 seats, they don't come along as often now.

Yes - I was there with the ash cloud - sadly DH who was due to join me the day after the dratted thing went up never arrived and I had 2 weeks on my tod. Would normally have enjoyed it but that unsettling feeling that I might never see dear old blighty again spoilt it somewhat.
Never seen prices from Leeds less than from Manchester though so quite pleased (and surprised )by that. Seen that Virgin have extended their sale again - and still no May dates there so thinking we've done the right thing.

I never even search LBA, I used to but never found anything to touch Manchester so gave up. We are 45-50 mins from MAN, LBA, EMA & DSA so any is suitable.

Just seen Flybe have pulled the London service from LBA, does this affect you?

Great price!!! I or DH never look at Leeds/bradford, don't know why we are 40 mins from there. The way Virgin prices are going I can't see us flying with them for a while, last Aug we flew to Sanford with Thomas Cook due to silly prices into Orlando international.
