Flights,anyone mad enough to do this?

Hi folks,
Still looking for our flights for Sept so was on Dialaflight this morning & they were quoting me £433-bargain!!! but you had to call them.Yes the screen did show flights at £433 ..................wait for it.............. Glasgow -London-Madrid -Chicago -Orlando Does anyone actually do this?

not sure what your dates are but i was looking at flights on virgin and they were 560 each direct for the dates we wanted. i would pay the extra to go direct in 9 hours than that routing

Was at xmas time wasnt to bad but not wanting to do it again soon but was around £400

It just sounds like one of those ideas that constitutes a ITV programme to see how quickly one can obtain DVT !

Wouldnt fancy that at all, we are travelling via Chicago in August, would have preferred direct but the flights were much cheaper with one stop, we shall see how easy it is with 2 children!!

Doesn't seem too good at all!!!
We only paid approx £500 each Virgin direct MCO...we are going for an odd no of days May ie 23 nights. Kicked myself for not booking earlier when they were only £460 each. Bummmm
When I researched the flights (extensively and exhaustively) there were slightly cheaper options Continental/Delta/Northwest etc with one stop off.
And a very cheap option on A Lingus via Dublin, altho this didnt show for long

If you only want 2 or 3 weeks, then surely charter is cheapest. Often the flydrive is cheaper than the flight only (do homework. Ditch the packaged car hire, their packaged insurances may be higher??? and ?book with a co online. Its still sometimes cheaper than just the flight) We have done this in the past, when only wanting 14 days.

Also check Air France and other European carriers..just one stop!!

4 stops....you would have to love stress!! lol

Likewise kicking myself could have had Continental flights for the 3 of us for £1450 & they are now £1600! Unfortunately flying from Scotland for 3 weeks we will always have to land somewhere first (I know Globespan go direct ) as I 've posted before at the minute it's changes in Newark that are winning.There is absolutely no way I would have done the changes offered My dates for those intrested are Sep 9th - Sep 30th & so far everything but flights!
