Flight prices?

I am looking to book flights for 7 of us altogether from Manchester in Aug 2010. We have set dates. Could anyone tell me how much they paid for flights for this year just so I have a guide. I have priced them recently and they are coming up at about £640 and I dont know if this is a good price or not.

Last few years Virgin direct have been £700-800, indirect £500-600 but if you search hard and long enough hopefully you will find better prices.
Have you any Virgin Miles to use? last year we got free flight out just paid for return leg with BMI, cost £336 +20,000 miles each. Year before we got miles and money £533+2,000 each year before I got a mistake on Netflights, BMI £330 + 2 bottles of wine free
This Aug booked last Oct, another mistake I guess, business class with Delta £465, only available a few days then they went upto £1,700. Just after I booked there were some economy (US airways if I remember rightly) for £330ish. As you say no offers now all seem to be over £600.
There has been more available going 23rd or later but earlier in August these are the only deals I have seen for this year.
All you can do is search 3, 4 or 5 times a day everyday until you find flights at the price you want, its very time consuming but as you see from what I have paid last few years something turns up.
