So I'm heading down oct 15th-19th. prices were around $240 when i first looked when we booked our rooms last month. About the price we paid for january. Then they dropped to $179 r/t which i thought was great, but its me, DBF, and 2 friends and not all of us had the money last month.

So it went back up again, and then down this past tuesday to $179... and now today up AGAIN! Is it just the weekend? we were ready to book on this upcoming monday but i really dont want to pay that much r/t.... you think by tuesday it might drop again? this was for both Delta and Jetblue, seemed to be competing with each other as when one dropped so did the other shortly after.

I just hate not having our flights booked, its one of those things i worry about until it's done...but really don't want to pay $240!

Yes, prices usually go up on weekends. Try looking for prices on a Tuesday or Wednesday. I found my best prices on those days. I also got my best price by traveling on a Tuesday to Tuesday. Try playing around with different days of the week to fly to see which days might work for you. I just checked Airtran's website and they are showing some Saturday to Saturday flights from PHL to MCO for $79 each way. Good luck!

well my getting days off in october was neigh impossible because i work at the WOD in NYC and everyone seems to be going to FL in oct so the dates are approved and set, i can't be flexible. so i have to fly down on a thursday and back on a monday.

But i guess we'll wait and see what tuesday brings *crosses fingers*

I booked AT from Detroit, Oct 15-20, for $69.20 (TOTAL!) round-trip using the $25 AirTran coupon link. The flights were listed as $54 down and $44 back. Now, they are at $54 and $54 so they haven't changed too much.

If you need a coupon for AirTran, here's the link:

You can save $50 on a round-trip if you sned the coupon to two different e-mails and then use the coupon codes to book 2 one-way flights.

HTH!

Good Luck....maybe we'll be landing at MCO at the same time!

One of the main reasons why people book early is to get it cheaper. Airlines start off by offering just a few seats at their lower prices. Since you missed that opportunity, I say wait for the fares to come down again.

Only if you absolutely positively need those dates and times (like Sunday evening after Thanksgiving) do you need to go ahead and book now anyway.
