To make it as easy as possible most of you suggest after being dropped off at curbside, tip the curbside porter $1 per bag and let him take care of the luggage. Go to the "Kiosts" print out the tickets (I have email ticket) . Do I also print out the boarding passes????

Someone mentioned that you might be able to print out the boarding passes and tickets from your computer the night before. We are flying USAirways. Can you go to their web site and print out these passes the night before.

Since our flight is 6:50am out of Philly. I guess we should be dropped off by 4:50am.

Now the MCO departure............ flight leaves on Sat night 6:30pm. Do you suggest following the same procedure. Arriving at the USAirways 2 hours earlier. Let curbside take baggage. Use the "Kiosts" to print out boarding passes?????

Haven't flown in a decade. Does this plan look all right???

Thanks to the experience flyers for you help.

I'll be flying out of PHL on the 6:50am flight on Aug 10. If you go to USAir website there is a place to print out boarding passes. There is a place on the front page for your name and flight number and you can print the boarding pass up to 24hrs in advance. I would recommend doing this from home that way once you do curb side checkin I believe you can proceed right to security and be on your way. I'm not having the taxi pick us up until 5am since it is only a 15min ride to the airport and we will only have to wait in line for security since we already will have printed out our boarding passes.

At MCO we plan on doing curbside checkin - be sure to bring something such as your itinerary from the airline or whereever you got your tickets to prove you are on the flight - then go in and print boarding passes from the kiosk. We are using a town car to take as to MCO and they are picking us up about 2hrs before our sheduled depature on Sun Aug 16 at 6:30. I figure they know how long we should need and are providing an adequate amt of time.

Let us know how the airport stuff went once you come back. I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

I would print out your boarding passes at home before you leave PHL. That would save you a step. I would also check your airports website to see what time the security line opens. No use getting there too early.

While I usually fly from philly, when i went in May, I flew out of Regan National (Grama lives in VA & we went together). I thought you could only print your bording passes out 6 hours before hand (with US Air). I did not do this as we were leaving the house at 5am and I was not getting up to get on the computer at 4:30. We got to the airport and did a curbside check in (they took our bags to the screener things). We then went to a kiosk to print out the passes. i had help, as gram was in a wheelchair, so they porter type person helped me out.

Comming back, I dropped off grama at curbside 7 they took our bags to the screener. I dropped off my car, and then we checked in at the counter (it was mobbed everywhere). i did notice that they were not taking the bags at the counter, you had to take them over tot he screener your self. So, the long and short of it is, drop off your bags at the curp, it's worth the tip to not lug the bags around! The kiosk thing was pretty easy, btw. Have a great trip! I am flying on Air tran in October, as their price was only $151.50 r/t and they are fine. :D :D
