I'm a "big guy". I've been reading around the net that people are being asked to not ride Flight of passage because they're too big, and/or tall for the ride. What's the status of this? Is this true, or is it rumor hype?

There have been some people that haven't been able to ride. There is a test seat outside the ride to try before getting in line. The main issues are within the leg restraints for people.

First, here is a current thread on topic: https://www.disboards.com/threads/flight-of-passage-people-of-size-disappointing.3608328/

Second, it's not an issue of people being asked not to ride, it's a matter of certain body types not being able to be properly restrained. There are a specific set of instructions to get onto the ride and also a test seat to try out before entering the queue. I really don't think this is truly a matter of many people not actually being able to ride, but the thread has many people worried and wondering.

I apologize. I don't notice every thread up. Sorry.

Nope, just wanted to link it because it is recent despite having dropped to page 4 because things move so quickly. I thought you could read it and see for yourself body types and pictures that people are posting and their experiences.

When we were there last week there was a "seat" outside of the ride that people could try to see how comfortable it was.

If the seat restraints don't latch properly around you, you will not be allowed to ride. There is a sample ride vehicle outside the line so you can figure out if you will fit or not.

My husband is 6'4" and a little over 300lbs. His legs are long and he is all stomach. He was worried that he would not fit, he sat in the test ride vehicle and the cast member told him "maybe...you're kind of on the edge" We got in line and when my husband sat in the vehicle, the restraints closed without problems. He rode comfortably.

A couple of tips if you might be too big/tall: Sit as far forward on the seat as you can, lift your knees as high up as possible and keep your legs as far forward as you can, and point your toes while the restraints close. You'll be able to rearrange yourself a bit once the restraints are in the locked position.

i didnt see a test seat anywhere but it was nightime and raining so I wasnt searching for it...

To give you a reference I am 6'6" and 280lbs. I felt comfortable on it and had no issues getting into the seat.
