I have never done this automatic check in... where you type everything in a computer...I guess we were not suppose to do it, but somehow the person that looked at our tickets told us to go into that line.....anyhow we were already seated by our travel agent...and when they made us go through this computer check in.. we lost our seats...and had no boarding pass, which should not have happened... We had to check in again at the gate...
At the gate, the woman checking us in realized that somehow someone had given away our seats and we had been handled incorrectly at the first check-in.. We told her we were confused, she said.. I am going to take care of you and you will like these seats...
You got it.. she upgraded us to first class on the flight...told us to enjoy, drink champagne and have a wonderful holiday.. No one has never done that before for us.. I was so touched that I went back to my seat and said to Tom... I want to thank her for this.. she made our flight home so comfortable... I was wearing a very nice Christmas tree pin that I had recently purchased, I went back to the gate and asked her if she would accept that little gift from us.. my eyes were all teary...she took it graciously, put it on and I said I would remember her this holiday season and hoped that she would remember the Boston couple that she was so nice to...She said she would treasure that pin... as we were pulling away from the gate, she was standing there.. I waved, mouthed the words Thank you, .. she said back You are welcome, Merry Christmas...
I just had to share this story....I loved first class...what a way to travel....but I especially will remember this woman for her kindness to us..
