Flight dilema

I am in the initial stages of planning next years trip to WDW - we will be going mid august for around 15 nights and will fly VA.

I have already booked a 4 night DCL cruise and cannot book the rest of the accomodation until at least September as we will be using DVC points.

Now I know I could book a flydrive with VH now but don't really want to as we have quite a lot of VA points and want to use these for the flights. I have noticed on the VA website that they are currently running a UC sale for this spring and summer which looks pretty good and covers the same time period we would want next year. Do VA have this UC sale every Easter?

My dilema is, should I start looking for reward flights as soon as the flights are released in September and book PE, or should I hope that they will have a similar UC sale next year and wait for that and pay for UC, earning even more points. If I do the latter, it is unlikely that there would be any reward flights left if I was unable to get UC at a price/date suitable.

Any thoughts???

I just had a look at the VA Upper Class Sale, and it looks as though it only includes certain flights from Heathrow, and, of course, nothing to Orlando. Perhaps I am missing something?

No you are not missing anything as the LGW/MAN aircraft only have 14 UC suites then they are rarely if ever in sale of available for reward bookings.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I had been looking at UC flight to either JFK or Miami. If JFK, spend a couple of nights in New York before heading off to Orlando or if Miami, driving up to Orlando.

Personally I like to get everything booked up as soon as I make the decision to go again. I would prefer to have the flights booked up especially when going in peak times.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I had been looking at UC flight to either JFK or Miami. If JFK, spend a couple of nights in New York before heading off to Orlando or if Miami, driving up to Orlando.

If you book to go to JFK you then have the hassle of sorting out internal flights and they will have a loser luggage allowance as not on the same ticket. Plus if the two flight times ie the internal and transatlatic are close and you miss the connection you are on your own really as neither airline is obliged to assist as separate tickets.

I would favour the Miami route and driving up the day after with a stay at the airport hotel when you arrive.
