We have just decided we are going to go back to Disney next summer and I have started to look at flight prices for this year to give myself an approximate price. We last went 2 years ago with BA and paid £1800 for 2 adults and 2 children. We hope to go at the beginning of July (same as last time) and for this year the prices for most airlines we have checked are over £3200!
Thats a huge hike in price and what i am wondering is am I looking in the wrong place? Is it because we are nearing those departure dates and the price is going up or is this the norm now with the increases in fuel prices being passed on to passengers?
We are flying from Scotland so any alternative route ideas would be gratefully received!

Laura flight prices have become more than crazy the last 18 months .Even out of season they are high with last september being ridiculous(up to £980). Its a case of keep looking every day through perhaps opodo, kelkoo expedia. I am sure there will be some offers and sales .Indirect tends to be slightly cheaper.I have just read that aer lingus are offering good prices as well but it would mean flying to ireland first. When flights first come out so would be august for you they tend to be ok and m+m flights with VA are about.
Try complete orlando as well for a quote if you want disney property.Thier flights were cheaper than VA direct for us.3 adults and a child £1683 but that is for this november. Good luck.

We're also flying from Glasgow in October this year and couldn't believe the cost of the flights - we're paying £3450 for 5 adults and that's a bit cheaper than we originally had because we're flying out on a Tuesday. Maybe try weekdays to see if that makes it cheaper for you. Happy hunting!:thumbsup2

Unfortunately prices have greatly increased. Flights below £500 are few and far between. Booking as soon as flights are released 11 months out seems to be the best bet.

We have paid £2000 on VA out of Glasgow in Sep for 2 adults and one child. BA was slightly cheaper but we wanted a direct flight. Have you tried charter flights with either Thomas Cook or Thompsons they both fly dirct from Glasgow into Sanford. You might also find cheaper BA flights into Tampa.
