Flies in between window and screen

We haven't opened our windows all summer because of having the air conditioning on. Now that it's getting cooler, I want to open them. But I noticed there are flies in between the window and screen in almost all the windows! I don't know how they got there, I can't see holes in the screens (this is a brand new house). Should I mention this to the builder or is this common?

Thanks! I never thought of that...until now!! I swear this one window has 7 or 8 flies in it.
