Flexibility and Persistance Pay Off Again!

My husband got an e-mail on Tuesday am stating that he was expected to take off July 5th from work (another boss had told him that he was working previous to this e-mail). He called me up and suggested that we try to go to WDW for July 4th (we live a couple of hours away). I called all week, and was told that NOTHING was available every time. Most cast members refused to even check. Said that ALL DVC accomodations were completely booked. A couple even told me that there was no hope. LaWanda (sp?) was hopeful and accomodated me both times I got through to her by truly checking all of the DVC properties ( I said that any 1 BR or Studio at WDW or at VB would be fine). Well, today at about 3:30 pm, they found a studio at OKW for us. I can't wait to get off of work on Sun am and leave! Happy 4th of July!

How wonderful for you! Have a great time -- you are lucky to live so close (but you probably know that!). Good old OKW -- we were calling daily for a a room early June and got the last-minute OKW 1-bedroom and it was great. Enjoy yourselves!

Thanks everyone! We've cooked all of our food (except the hot dogs and hamburgers), and are ready to go! (Now I am hoping for decent weather, looks like there'll be a bit of rain!)

Funny LaWanda just helped me.

I was making a reservation last week that involved transferring points from another contract. That person said it would only take a day and then be done. A week later i called and LaWanda said it wasn't anywhere to be seen but she would take care of it. She called the next day to tell me it was done and all set, and apologized even though it had nothing to do with her. Just got the feeling she knows what she is doing and actually cares!

But, I'm not happy that MOST CMs wouldn't even check??? That's just not right! That's what we pay for as members! I would have asked for a manager and insisted they check.

LOVE those last minute surprises!!!! I will sometimes hang up and call again if I get a CM who isn't too helpful. Often, it's the luck of the draw.
