I got offered a flex deal last night. 5 nights, free dining, one day base tick (we have ap's) 704$ inc tax for 2 adults and dd11 :worship: at CBR. I grabbed it. I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten this before?

I was trying to get a value package which was 700$ when this came across their screen due to non availability at any of the values for my dates.

That offer sounds insanely good! A mod for five nights... $700... totally reasonable, but you have free dining and 1 day tickets for 3 people included in that price too? Do I understand that correctly?

was there a code/3 digit code with this? or is it just called flex deal? or did you have a pin number

Please give a bit more detail. Are you saying you were on the Disney site using their booking tool to price a package and this offer popped up on your screen? What are your dates of travel?

704$ includes 5 nights at Caribbean Beach. There are 3 in my party including me, dh and dd11. I also got 3 one day passes, and the free food plan along w/ those arcade vouchers etc that they send w/ the packages. This ALL was in the package for total of 704$ inc. tax.

I had originally (on the computer) did a quote for 5 nights in August in a value resort which was 704$ When I decided to book it it wasn't available on line so I called WDW. As she was telling me there was no availability she said "oh wait a 'flex deal' is coming across the screen. I've never heard of that before when she told me the price I grabbed it.

I put a 200$ deposit down. I can't 'change' the dates so to speak but am working on trying to get an add'l night at that rate. I also can't change the hotel. I think it may be because CB is so big they had alot of availability and would rather have my money then the room open.

If you break that down it is about $47 per person per day..the fact that you have tix is helping out a lot, but considering DDP is $40 per adult per day, and ther are 3 ( in WDW terms)...ummm, you are WAY ahead! Basically free dining, or your are paying $21 a night for your room!:thumbsup2

Wow! Lucky you. I hope I can get as lucky for a Fall reservation. :)

I keep going over this deal in my mind. The only thing I can figure is that the value category was booked and I told them DH was really cheap and only wanted to spend the 700$ whereas we were just there last month :rotfl:. I wasn't flexible w/ my dates because we wanted to merge a DVC trip into the mix at the last minute.

I'm wondering if you call even though you know that category is booked, maybe the chances are better of getting this "flex deal"?

I wish I had better suggestions for others being able to get this deal but I haven't thought of anything yet.

They did say they are few and far between. Its funny everytime I call Disney to make ADR's or try to add on, all the CM's say OMG what a great deal you got lol.

I got this amazing deal for BWI back in 2007. I wish it would come up more often.

What is a "Flex," this is a new term for me. How did you get it?

I was offered one once. I was trying to book BWV but there was no availability, and got offered a flex deal on BWI garden suite. It was an insanely good offer, but we ended up not going right then. The CM told me it was a flex deal. So I guess if what you want isn't available, that's your best shot?

I've never heard of "flex deal" until it was offered to me and had no idea that it would be same money as the values.

I'm thinking they must be few and far between because I'm on the boards all the time and I've never heard of it before.

She did say that sometimes the dates don't match exactly to what you are requesting but I got lucky and they did (although for that price I would've switched things around )

Oh yeah flex deal...not flexible at all I haven't been able to change ANYTHING at all on that ressie. I haven't even been able to add a day so the only flexible thing is a better hotel (even that can't be switched to another moderate) .

Heres what a "flex" deal is. Its completely random for one thing. Example: "I want a value resort for 8/24 for 3 nights with DDP", the CM selects value resorts for 8/24 to 8/27 with DDP and hits "Search". One of the 4-5 offers on the screen are for a moderate for 8/21-8/24. The CM says "I can get you what youre asking for $X or I do have a flex offer if you can come a few days earlier you can stay at a X moderate resort for only $X" If you call 100 times it MAY happen once or twice. Not sure if its the resort managers offering it or if theyre overbooked for those dates or could just be good old Disney magic. Usually when it happens though its a mod for the price of a value or a deluxe for the price of a moderate. Sometimes you have to change dates, sometimes you dont. Once you book it though YOU CANT CHANGE ANYTHING

Adding flex deal to the list of discounts that I never get offered... :rotfl:

That's insane! No matter how you look at it, you won't get a better deal!

Have fun!

I wonder if it helps to plan just a few months in advance to increase chances of a flex deal... :confused3 Maybe Disney just wants to fill up rooms because they're not as full as they'd like them to be.

I'm thinking that has something to do w/ it. Its slow season for them in August, I wasn't going to pay for a moderate (we had just been there last month) and I told them that. Now whether it really WAS something that flashed across the screen or what, it definately worked. They are getting some money from me but shhhhh don't tell them, I feel like I'm getting the best deal. ;)

I've visited during free dining and observed that the Values are often full, yet the other categories are open. I'm thinking this is the Disney way to get you to visit during this period of time? Sure is a great deal!!! Congratulations and enjoy!!!!
