Fleece Blankets

I bought a lot of fleece blankets at Kohls this weekend ...
Reg. 14.99 now $2.99 and I had a 30% of coupon so they were about 2 bucks each !!!!!
I bought 60 of them for our high school band (we are going to Disney in 2011)
I would like to decorate them for the kids but I can not sew very good and I do not have the money to pay someone to embroider them.

Any ideas ?????
I know that hot glue would not work well if the kids ever have to wash them.

My DD uses fabric paint when she does blankets, etc... for friends. It doesn't wash off and it is not very expensive.

Some of the girls in color/winter guard have made them as gifts for one another.

What about those iron-on patches they sell in fabric stores? I've seen disney ones at our store or maybe you could get letters and iron on each kid's initials. That was a good deal at Kohls!
