Has anyone sold stuff at a flea market and had much success? I'm doing this this weekend, and am nervous. I found some really good deals on costume jewelry, and was hoping that it sells good. Trying to make some money for our trip october 1st. Any tips, advice, etc are very welcome!!!

I have not sold anything, but bought a bit of stuff. I have a friend who always sells stuff and she says--get there early, mark stuff at a price you can negotiate with because hardly anyone will pay what you ask.
Hope that helps.

We ocassionally go to our local flea market. You wouldn't believe the crap that some people try to sell! Yet you see the same vendors there week in and week out so there must be a market out there. You'll do fine and who knows maybe it will turn into a business.

Yea, who knows. Some of this jewelry I got is really nice!! I priced it reasonable, and put down what my bottom line is. after doing yard sales, i know people like to bargain, just never sold at a flea market before. Not sure if I want to make it a career LOL Just would like to get my investment back, and possibly a little more. we have a trip planned for my step daughters' birthday the weekend of Oct 1st, the trip is paid for, including dining plan, just want to be able to get her some good stuff while we're there.

I have faith hun that we will do super good this weekend, and then we also have the weekend after, so after all that, we will have more then enough for all the kids. I am finding more and more stuff to sell.

I guess I am stupid. I never bargain with the flea market folks. My two favorite vendors sell books and grocery items, and they are so cheap that I'd feel silly bargaining with them.

Maybe I would if I was buying higher priced items.

I think I got stuff reasonably priced for bargains, so I'm hoping not to resort to my bottom line on stuff. I know yard sale people like to bargain, so here's hoping. This is a new adventure for me....and I know I have help, but yep, still a little nervous. But, it'll be alright, we'll do fine, 24 days until our trip, so here's hoping for some good vibes!!!! Anyone in the Jacksonville area, come see us!!! LOL

We bargain if it is higher priced stuff, too. But, she said there are a lot of people that bargain on everything! Crazy!
