Flash Drive ??

Got the MB flash drive for our trip in March. Cute but we've used MDE, etc for the last few trips (live in Florida so take a few short trips). I tried to see if there was any space available on the flash drive to use it as a regular one but it said it was full. Has anyone used these as a regular flash drive? If so how did you reconfigure it? Seems a waste of a cute flash drive to just throw it out.

I just reformatted mine a couple weeks and I cannot remember the steps for my Mac. It was super-easy though when I went "into" the info on the drive.

DH is the PC guy, and he said: go to Start, your computer, find the flash drive, right click on it, click on format.

Hope that helps a bit.

Yes, Right click on the drive and press format. We have reformatted 2 of them, one was close to 4GB and one was close to 1GB.

I received mine yesterday for a June trip. There was plenty of room on it (not quite 2 Gb) for MP3s to play in the car, since most of the cars accept USB drives for music now. It is working fine.

Mine was 5.96 GB. I find it odd that they have different capacities.

Very interesting! We got our MBs a few weeks ago for a trip coming up soon. Lovely box, lovely bands, but no flash drive and no place in the packaging to put one. Oh well.
