Flannel Sheets in the summer?

I've heard some people say that flannel sheets keep you cool in the summer. I just don't find that true IMO. Do you use flannel sheets in the summer?

Surely you jest?? No way are flannel sheets cooling in the summer!
They are 'forms' of blankets, after all!

We love the softness/warmth in the winter, but come summer/AC time, it's back to my good ole crisp cotton sheets that I love to line dry - no dryers for my summer sheets!

Wow! Just read the previous post - did not realize this OP was from 2005!!!!

For the record though!! We're in the south and we definitely don't keep our home 60* in the summer - would never be able to pay our electric bill!!!

I ONLY use flannel sheets - summer, spring, fall and winter. Of course my ac is set on 60 degrees in the summer.

LOL. I was about to say something like that. My mother was as an AC freak and I had more blankets on my bed in the summer than the winter.
