Flame Tree or Tusker house?
Which one would you recommend? At which one do you do best using the AK Meals Plus coupons? What food do you like order at your recommended spot?

Both are good places to eat but I prefer Flame Tree Barbeque because I LOVE their ribs! They are the best ribs I have ever eaten, they use a dry rub instead of barbeque sauce and are smoked with several types of wood-- the ribs are very tasty. I will often make a trip to AK just to go to Flame Tree Barbeque for their ribs.

Have only tried Tusker but we thought it was good. In our opinion, AK is not a park for great cuisine

i've only tried tusker house but enjoyed it. i had a very good chicken salad ( i purchased the meal deal so i could get ice cream and water later on) it was a nice cool place to relax, and an African drummer came in and entertained us while i was there.

I've never tried Tuser House (the food on display does not appeal to me) but love Flame Tree. We always get the pulled pork sandwich...love it!

We have eaten at both Tusker's and Flame Tree, and Tusker's is our (my, DH's and DS's-age 10) favorite of the two. We consistently have good food at Tuskers, however cannot say the same for Flame Tree. When we ate at Flame Tree this past May, my BBQ Chicken Salad was fantastic, however my DH's BBQ Ribs were very tough. In fact, he didn't feel they were edible and threw them. He didn't go hungry though, as his chocolate cake was HUGE and delicious!

BBQ Chicken Salad at Flame Tree is the BEST!!
I looked at Tusker's Menu once and didn't see anything that really appealed to me or my son. But even my DS(10) loves the BBQ Chicken Salad.

We go sit down behind Flame Tree by the water and watch the buffalo animals across the way while eating. Its my favorite AK lunch.

We love Flame Tree!!! However we've never eaten at Tusker - mainly b/c we just don't seem to be on that side of the park when we eat. But we really like the food at FT and it is so peaceful to eat underneath all the trees by the river. The meal deals are great too. I'm sure the value is great at either Tusker or Flame Tree.

While Flame Tree has a wonderful outdoor seating area, the food at Tuskers is far better. I like the roasted chicken served with fresh vegetables.
