We had read about how wonderful this Restaurant was, and so we had to try it. :goodvibes

My DH and I both had the St Louis Ribs with baked beans and a corn muffin.

The ribs were wonderful, fall off the bone kind of wonderful. Very good Corn muffin, and the beans were spiced just right. :thumbsup2

My DS had, what else ? Smoked half of a chicken with baked beans and a corn muffin, and a side of French fries

He loved the chicken, not to big on baked beans or the corn muffin.

For desert we had the key lime pie and DS had the Minute Maid frozen lemondade.

The key lime pie was pretty good, and of course DH loved his frozen lemonade.

The only thing I wasnt crazy about with this restaurant is that it is all outdoor seating. There are overhead fans, which make it bearable, but Im a kind of air condition girl when Im eating, if you know what I mean. :lovestruc

This would be a definate must do everytime we visit AK

Great review. This is on our list in Nov. I hear many negatives about the beans . Is there a subsitute for them? I love me some RIBS-lol!

:thumbsup2

I love this CS at AK. We head there everytime when we are there. Great photo's. :)

Thanks for the review. We love Flame Tree and can'tn wait to be there on September 8!

We've always loved FT. A couple times my DM and I got lunch at FT but my DD8 wanted McD's. So we took our lunch over to McD's. It was nice to sit in the A/C. However, I do like eating along the edge of the lake too.

We tried the fruit salad a few trips ago and are planning on having it this trip. Large amount of fruit and really good. Alot of times (especially on DDP) my DM and I will share a meal at FT.

and the great review...love those ribs, & the min maid frozen lemonade. Yummy on a hot day.

We didnt even think to ask, but most places we did ask for substitutions were very accomodating. :thumbsup2 My DH however did enjoy the beans, Im just not a bean kind of girl. :lmao:

We ate there in June and it was very good!! My DS2 ate all 4 of our muffins!! The ribs were excellent!! And I really am not a bean fan, the only beans I can tolerate are baked beans, and these were really good!! We enjoy eating outside if its not to windy and it didn't seem very hot the day we were there. So, it was really nice eating right beside the lake. We had a great view of EE. I would highly recommend this place if you like BBQ!!!

I bought the first Disney Cookbook SPECIFICALLY for the Baked Beans recipe. I make them on a regular basis and we always call them Disney Beans at home! I hope they're the same recipe. But, if there's been negative reviews, I suspect they're not. :sad2:

This is on our MUST DO list for the AK. As a matter of fact, we have more places to eat than attractions to do during our trip. We have to space out our visit to AK just so we can eat where we want to!

I don't like them either and in March I substituted them for the coleslaw with no problems:)

We love FTBBQ but it has been many moons since we have been...looking forward to trying it again in Oct

My first visit there I found the ribs a bit too dry, however the next visit I ordered the chicken and it was excellent, as were all the sides. Yummy!

We go here every time we're in Disney, but this trip there were just too many people with too many requests. Flame tree has great food!

Jakesmom1,

have you posted a review for Coral Reef? I can't seem to find it...

Enjoyed your reviews so far!

We ate there on our last trip and the food was good but we decided to take a lovely table near the water and the water stunk! :sad2: Really kindof ruined the meal...

This was one of two special dinners we had at WDW to celebrate our 15th Wedding Anniversary.

I have to say it was probably one of my favorite restaurants. We had a table in front of the Fish tank which was awesome. Our waiter was wonderful, drinks never got close to being empty, he was right there with another one. Very attentive and fun.

Since it was our anniversary he brought us complimentary champagne. Ummmm.

For starters we had the Lobster soup, ( I guess I was a little too close when I took this pic.) It was delicious, lots of chunks of lobster.

Then we had the Grilled NY Strip,

and the Grilled Chicken breast.

My DH and I loved the steak, cooked perfectly, My DS loved the chicken as well.

For desert we had the Chocolate Wave, and the fruit with sorbet.

The chocolate wave was heavenly, and my DS really enjoyed the fruit and sorbet.

This was a wonderful meal, and we will be sure to go back again.
