Flag Retreat

How are veterans selected for the daily Flag Retreat at MK? My husband was hoping to be selected (Army Veteran stationed at the Pentagon). Thanks!

You used to be able to stop at the Town Hall and ask if they had already selected a Veteran of the day - but last I heard they had moved away from that and and seek out a Veteran at the front of the park or at the front gates earlier in the day - so the most recent suggestion is to wear clothing, pins or a hat that helps indicate the person's status as a Vet in hopes of being selected - however, just with anything, it certainly never hurts to ask, and ask around.
