Fla Res Seassonal Pass - lift early Aug blackout?

I know that sometimes Disney lifts the blackout dates in the summer early for seasonal passholders - any thoughts on the possibility this summer?

Well, they did last year, but I have never seen any advance notice of them lifting the black-out until Disney themselves actually announces it.
I got a postcard last summer.

I got the postcard last year too, but I got an email 2 weeks before the postcard came. I think it depends on how much business has been down for them. I never heard of them offering such fantastic deals as they did this past winter....and it depends on the hurricanes too....IMHO

Like it was already said they did lift it last year. You won't know very far in advance though but since you ar ein FLA it shouldn't be too hard to plan a trip.

They did it in 2004, as well--2 or 3 extra weeks in August. Still not sure I would count on it, but it seems to be the trend.
