What are some of your experiences with FL Tours? I usually use Mears but FL Tours has a better price. I've tried to do some research on the company (BBB, Orlando Chamber of Commerce, etc.) but find no information on the company. I would rather pay more than use a shady company. Thanks for any info.
 
Our family used their service in Dec for a round trip from the airport to all star movies. also two trips to universal during our stay. Always on time and very nice. Vehicles were clean. No problems, would use again.

Fl Tours is a sponser of this board. They are HARDLY shady, and from what I have seen, too clean to touch and their cars are beautiful, not to mention, their immaculate drivers. After Mears, I can only imagine perfection and then some.
 

I used them in October. Our driver was waiting for us when we arrived at baggage claim and was very pleasant. His itinerary stated that we were a party of 6, although we were only a party of 2. My e-mail from the company confirmed for a party of 2. No problem there! We had also requested a grocery stop, and it may be my fault that I did not request a specific grocery store, but asked for the grocery store most convenient. While driving away from the airport, the driver asked what we were planning to pick-up. I ststaeed that we needed bottled water, breakfast stuff, wine, etc. He stopped at a strip mall and told us we could find what we needed in 7-Eleven and Eckerd drugs. I should have said something then, that I wanted to go to a regular grocery store, but I didn't. The entire trip from the airport to the convenience store, the driver was weaving in and out of traffic, and on his cell phone constantly, instructing what driver to go where, and very loudly talking about how behind schedule he was, and who he would be late to pick-up, etc. We spent a small fortune on items in the drug and convenience stores (spent probably double what we had planned and did not get all the items on our list, as the selection was limited), just to end this trip as soon as possible.

On our return trip, out driver was 30 minutes late for or scheduled pick-up. I was tearing my hair out, as I am a nervous traveller to begin with. Again, there was the constant scheduling of trips on the cell phone, and the weaving in and out of traffic.

I won't use them again. I used them primarily because they were a board sponser, and I want to support the DIS boards sponsers. My experience may have been unusual, but it was enough to sour me to the company. Did I complain to the company? No. I don't want anything out of it, and I think I already spent way to long on this post.

Not trying to make an excuse, but I must say that we only suggest to bring you to a convenience stores only when either your flight is DELAYED or you arrive late night and that we could not even stop for you at Gooding’s because your destination resort is nowhere near. We used FL Tours this past holiday. Andy was our driver on 12/28. We at first requested a town car, but at the last minute changed to a bus (only myself, DW, DS5 and DS3). This was the best decision for us on the whole trip! With all of the luggage, plus a "double" stroller, plus the groceries (!), my wife even admitted I was correct in deciding our transportation needs. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Andy was perfectly on time, and treated my DS's like the angels they "always" are.;)

To be honest....... the driver on the way back ........ he did not compare to Andy. I never got his name but........ he was about 10 minutes late to pick us up, then had to use the restroom before we could leave (that makes FIFTEEN minutes late). Luckily, the airport wasn't as crowded as I thought would be the case and all ended well.

Overall, I would rate the experience a "B".

We used FL Tours this past November for our party of 8. I would definitely use them again. We did have a couple of issues with ,them, however. but they were prompt and courteous.

Here are the issues:

I requested 2 carseats for my sons. They only came with 1. My 4 yo had to be seat buckled which I was very hesitant about. The car seat they did have was very dirty and part of it was broken.

On our return trip they showed up with a limo instead of the luxury van originally requested, and no car seats this time. Now the limo may seem great but with our party of 8, double stroller, and all the luggage, we were were a little squashed in.

Still, the most important thing to us was that we were picked up and dropped off promptly and efficiently. Those issues would not defer me from this company and we will use them again in the future.

I used FL Tours last September. Andy met us at baggage claim (our flight arrived early, but so did Andy), and he literally ran to get our car. A large group of people to our left were still waiting for Mears shuttles when Andy pulled the car up. His driving was very good and the car was in excellent condition.

On the return flight our driver was a few minutes early and was as polite as Andy.

I would continue to use FL Tours in the future. I was very impressed with this company.
 
Andy - that is very generous. You certainly don't need to refund any money. I used your service, and wasn't fully satisfied, but then, maybe the driver had a bad day (or days). Just your offer is enough to make me want to try FL Tours again, because if the majority of your drivers are as gracious as you are, my next trip is sure to be perfect.

BTW, my flight actually arrive 15 minutes early - it was scheduled to arrive at 9:15 am, and arrived at MCO at 9am. The driver told us he was rushed because it was a weekend, and most people are arriving/departing on the weekends.
 
We used FLTOURS in Dec and had an excellant experience. The driver was waiting at the baggage area for us , let us stop at a grocery store before going to the resort. He was prompt on our return trip to the airport. I would definetly use them again. The car was immaculate.::yes:: ::yes::
