I'm not quite sure where to post this, so if this is not the right place please feel free to move it. Does anyone know if I can I purchase the 3 day play FL resident tickets at the gate or do I have to purchase them online and then go to will call? And is there a time the will call windows close? If I purchase online I'm thinking of going to pick them up this afternoon.

My dd went with her father last month. I sent the money with her and she payed at the gate.

You can do either. I've ordered them and bought them at the gate.

how do you find out the florida resident promotions? I think we might go this year.

As they become available, wdw will post them on their websites. Somewhere on their website in the parks section, there is a place to click for FL resident deals. Florida residency verification will be required at check-in and/or ticket voucher exchange for all adult members of the party (except for room only deals where I think just one person per room must be verified).

Because you'll have to show a FL ID, you won't be able to purchase your FL resident tickets at the automated machines. That could add a significant wait with all the high-volume park days coming up.

Which stinks, but it's understandable. I ordered the pass this afternoon and figured I would pick it up when I dropped DH off to work at TTC, but....my plan was foiled when the ticket windows were closed there. I didn't feel like taking the monorail or ferry to MK to pick it up so I'll be waiting in line with everyone else in the world tomorrow morning, blech! Guess I need to practice my line waiting patience since we're doing Disney for the next three days!

One last question for you. My Aunt and Uncle recently bought a house here and moved. They were supposed to get their ID's last week but didn't. According to the website and the hub if they don't have ID they can bring their utility bills, homeowners insurance and such. Honestly I don't think they're going to even come, but if so I told them to bring these. Will these work? I only ask because your thread says it must be a government issued ID and the website and HUB list these options if they don't have those. I don't want them to have an issue if they decide to come and if it is then we can get them CM tickets from Co. D.

These are the official rules:

Florida Resident tickets are only available to actual Florida Residents and cannot be purchased for out-of-state family or friends.

An adult Florida Resident may purchase Florida Resident media for more than one Florida Resident from any location that provides an exchange certificate and not an actual ticket.

Children under the age of 18 are not required to provide proof of Florida residency if they are accompanied by an adult with valid proof of Florida residency

If the Guest has an exchange certificate, a valid form of Florida ID will be required when the exchange certificate is redeemed for the actual pass

One ticket only per valid proof of Florida residence (a Florida resident may buy tickets for minors in the party)

Exchange Certificates may say:

"After sale..., may not be transferred except as a gift." This means that the certificate may be given as a gift, so long as the recipient meets the defined Florida residency criteria.

"Purchase and redemption of this exchange certificate requires proof of Florida Residency."

The following items are the only documents accepted as proof of Florida Residency:
* Valid Florida State Drivers License
* Valid Florida State issued ID Card with Florida Address
* Valid Military ID stationed at one of the Florida Military Bases listed below:
(List of bases removed as unneeded)

As of August 20, 2010, Voter Registration Card is no longer an allowed ID
As of August 20, 2010, Florida University/College Student ID is no longer allowed

For Part-Year Residents the following original documents are acceptable.

Note that fax and photocopies are not acceptable, that bills and mail cannot be more than two months old, that PO Box addresses are not allowed, and items related to Time Shares are not permitted.
Must have a driver's license or state photo ID card from another state, or a non-US Passport and at least one of the following items which does show a Florida address:
* Monthly mortgage statement
* Current homeowner's insurance policy or bill, current automobile registration, insurance policy or bill or current utility bill (Power/Phone/Cable/Water).
* Statement from a financial institution showing checking, savings or investment information or mail from a Federal or Florida State, County or City government agency.

Effective August 20, 2010 Proof of Rent, Mortgage or Ownership such as a Deed, mortgage payment booklet or residential lease are no longer allowed.

So if they show an out-of-state Driver's License and utility bills from within the last two months mailed to the street address in Florida that is sufficient to allow them to use Florida-resident tickets.

Thanks! I tried to get them to get their ID's last week, but no go! I even sent them all the info required so they would be prepared when they got there....but turns out my uncle doesn't know where his birth certificate is. Darn FL licensing! Now let's see if they remember to bring the things I told them to bring!!
