Fl Resident ticket ? - I swear I searched!

I promise I searched & checked the sticky. My MIL lives in Florida & can prove residency. She is taking my 14 year old daughter in 2 weeks for a short trip. She got the fl resident room only discount. But hasn't purchased the tickets yet because she is 3 hours away from WDW & wants to just buy them when they get there. I know she will need to buy a regular ticket for my daughter, that's not the problem. My questions are:

1) Can she purchase her Fl resident ticket at check in at POP and have the ticket linked to her magic band? or does she have to purchase at the park?

2) Once she has the hard copy of her fl ticket and my daughters ticket can they send me the numbers on the back & I can make their FP+ selections while they are settling in, traveling to the park? Not my ideal choice, but since she's not pre buying her tickets this is the only way I can see to avoid the kiosk machines. She will be using an ECV & I know making the choices at a kiosk will frustrate her, so I'm trying to help. I already have their reservation under my "family & Friends" on MDE, so I think I can make their FP+ as soon as they have ticket linkage - right???

1) Oder the tickets TODAY on the phone and specify "Will Call" (pick-up at WDW.)

2) You can then immediately make FP+ TODAY using the Will Call Confirmation numbers.

Robo is right! I would avoid Will Call lines...choose to have tickets sent to Pop Century not Will Call. There should be a link at the end of the ticket purchase transaction.

The problem with your plan is that you will be competing with a population of guests that have had access to FP+ reservations for 60 days out.

You may not have access to MDE, because of outages, in the narrow time frame you plan to make FP+ reservations. The system may not have time to "update" your FP+ selections by the time your daughter needs them at the park.

There is no need to specifically have the tickets sent to the resort.

Yes, DO order as "Will Call."

The resort concierge desk can handle all Will Call pick-ups
automatically.
(They simply print the Will Call tickets on-the-spot
when you go to the desk.)

She could get the play 3 day ticket for $129. Since your daughter is a minor with no drivers license your mother could purchase her the same ticket. They never have asked for my children's I'd when buying flu resident tickets.

I had read that you didn't need to actually pick up will call tickets and I don't think that you need to usually. HOWEVER, we bought Florida Resident tickets, specified will call, linked them and made FP+ reservations, but they wouldn't let us in the gate the first time we tried to use them. The Florida Resident tickets require that you pick them up to show proof of residency for each adult and I had to wait in the Guest Relations line while the rest of the family watched the MK opening show.

In retrospect, this makes perfect sense, but I didn't think of if before we got to the gate!

She'll try to pick the actual tickets up at POP check in. But if that doesn't work the first stop is Epcot & they arrive mid day, so picking up at guest relations window shouldn't be a hassle. I just wanted to get their fp+ done so they didn't have to wait at the kiosks. I'm pretty sure mom doesn't know what an "app" is even if I showed her! Lol

For the FL res ticket she will still need to stop by a ticketing booth at the park, whether or not she gets the will call order picked up at Pop. While Pop does have the ability to pick up a will call, they DO NOT have the ability to activate a FL res certificate, which is how all FL res tickets are sold.

And just remember that she can go to ANY ticket window...she does not need to wait in the Guest Relations line, which is often much longer. Show her id and the will call certificate that is linked to their bands will be converted to a regular ticket.
