Two questions please.

1) Does anyone know the summer 2004 blackout dates yet?

2) DD will be 10 when we go next year, which means I will need to buy her an adult pass. Has anyone done this? I know that buying the child passes without FL ID are no problem, but what about buying the adult passes for a child?

TIA!!

What sort of ID would the average 10 year old have anyway? Birth certificates prove age but not residency and few kids have their own passports. I suppose a school record would prove residency but I doubt that Disney would require a report card. :p

She'll have an ID card that shows her as my dependent, but it doesn't have any residency info on it.

I'm just wondering if they will give me a hard time about buying an adult seasonal pass with no proof of residency.

Plus, with her going to school in Virginia, a report card wouldn't do me any good...

MY guess is that at 10 years af age, as long as she has proof of being your dependant and you have a florida ID, she will be fine.
As to dates for 2004 seasonal pass, I'm guessing that if 2003 was blocked from 4-12 to 4-24 for Easter (on the 20th this year), that 2004 will be blocked from 4-3 to 4-15 (Easter is on the 11th next year).
Summer is blocked out from June 7 to August 14 this year, so I am assuming it will be close to the same for 2004. Most schools seem to be out after the first week of June and most schools are back in business after the 14th of August. Christmas season 2002-2003 was blocked out from 12-20 to 1-3-2003, so my best guess is something close to 12-19 to 1-3 for 2003-2004.
Remember I am just guessing here..... I bought a Seasonal resident pass voucher for the first time this year but won't be activating it till October. Hopefully I'll know more then!

DH and I went to AAA yesterday to buy our Play 4 Days passes (resident only). The agent said kids under driving age don't need to prove residency.

June 12th-August 19th 2004 are blackouts.
My 12 yr old and 8 yr old did not need any id. :D 12 yr old was fingerscanned, 8 yr old was not. You will be fine.

Thanks for the dates BBB - you just totally screwed my vacation plans!! LOL!!

Truly though thanks - we'll just go to WDW a week later than planned, and the kids will miss the first few days of school. Not a biggie.

Thanks again!

Sorry! :( I just went and double checked the back of my pass booklet and that is what it says. Next year is about a week later than this year on the start and end of summer season.
Better to know now I suppose!;) Hey-crowds will be less a week later since most Floridians(my kids included) are back in school!

I'm just kidding you - I would much rather know now than later - BIG $$ difference in tickets! And I'm thinking the crowds will be a tad bit smaller too.

I just need to call now and change my hotel reservations.

Thanks again!
