My parents are going to become official Florida Residents beginning Jan 1, 2005. We are very excited for them (plus it means being able to go & visit them where it's warm during the cold Cleveland winters, here ;) .)

My hubby & I visit WDW at least once a year & usually purchase AP's. I believe Disney offers similar passes for FL Residents - does anyone here have any info on them? Do you just need your FL Drivers license to qualify?

We will already have our AP's starting in September - now, we'll be planning a January trip to visit with Mom & Dad & use our AP's again. :bounce: :Pinkbounc I can't wait - we love going down in Jan! :)

If my parents stay in a WDW hotel with us - can they book 2 rooms with a FL resident room discount - or only one?

They have a lot of questions about this new life in FL & about the different WDW options - is there someplace that lists all of these benefits & stipulations? Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!!! :)

Go to the official WDW website. They have a special area for FL residents-you have to enter the zip code.

Fl Residents get discounts on AP's and PAP's. The seasonal passes are around $200. You need a FL Driver's License or ID for these.

They can book two rooms, but they must be there to check-in.

Disney Dining Experience is great! You save 20% on most sit-down dining and on all counter service at AK, all-star resorts, PC, and POFQ. It costs about $75 adn covers up to 6 peopel in your party. Very worth it.

You can book up to three rooms with an annual pass.

The Disney Dining experience is for residents only, up to six people in your party..and the cost is $70. You also get the 20% off at the nicer bars...a great perk for those of us who stay/eat/drink at disneys nicer places.

You can also check out wdwig.com

Thanks everyone - I didn't even think about Disney World's site  . I just checked it out & printed up some info for them to look over. I'll also check out Deb's site, too. Thanks again! :)

From what I have learned by speaking with the Cms at the CRO Fl resident rates and Ap rates are most of the time the same rates. As fl res. we do get special ticket offers like the play 4 days pass offered at parts of the year and we do get discounted rates on Seasonal and Annual Passes. You must have a Fl id to do this though.
