FL resident question re: visiting resort guest

More specifically if we are a resort guest and plan on attending the Chip n Dale Campfire Sing-along, would a FL resident friend and her kids be able to join us for the evening? Would they need to have annual passes of some sort? Would they be welcome to join or would they need to be staying onsite and show proof that they are? Or would they be turned away?

Yes, your friends will be welcome to attend the campfire with you..it is open to anyone, guest or not. Enjoy!

Thank you. I thought it would be ok, but then I read somewhere it's for Disney guests, so I wasn't sure exactly if that meant resort guests.
