FL resident code?

Hello all,
Just wondering if someone knew about this, I have had reservations for awhile at Pop and now a code is out for that time in June (FL Res) and when I called they told me no rooms were available. I can't just add the code to the existing reservation??? I also wanted to add an extra night and that wasn't available either so I just left it alone. Thanks for any info.

You could add the FL Res code if any rooms were available for your resort for the Fl Res special

Sounds like the number of rooms they have set aside for this FL Res special are already full at POP - though it might only be one or two nights during your stay that are causing a problem.

What dates are you looking for? Would you consider switching resorts? Or even switching dates? If so, you might check back with them to see what is available at another value resort using the special.

Or you might go to the WDW website to the FL Res section, then to "specials", then play around and see what's available on there - if it was me I would also plug in my dates one by one to see if you can see which dates might be causing a problem. For example, if it was the last day that was kicking out the whole res, I would consider going a day ahead instead.

They do have music available, but we really don't want to stay there. We will be there for my 50th birthday so we are tied to that week. It would be nice though to save probably $100. I will do what you said though and play around with the dates on the website. Thank you

I forgot to mention in my previous post that you should also still keep checking for availability daily clear up to your stay because sometimes it could open back up for bookings - for example, if another FL Res booked POP but then didn't make their deposit (or cancelled their res) rooms might come back into the inventory and you could grab the rate, so it pays to keep looking

Thanks, I thought about that. I was actually thinking about even doing a moderate resort since I can get the discount, but we really like the child like decor at the value. So I will just keep checking until we leave.

Definitely keep checking for the resort you want, even if they tell you there is no availability with the code!

I had reservations at the CR for the dates of the code, and after the code came out I called to see if I could use the code at that resort, and I was told there was nothing available. (I double-checked online, and indeed there was no availability at that resort under that code.) Well, today just for the heck of it I decided to check once again for availability on the website, and lo and behold, there was! I quickly called and re-booked at CR under the code (NOTE: they could not just apply the code, we actually had to re-book first and cancel our other ressie afterwards) and we will be saving almost $100/night!

So, don't give up...keep checking and I'm sending you some pixie dust!
