I have never traveled during the holidays and I was wondering if they ever offer Fl Resident or Ap rates during the month of December. We plan on traveling 12/14-12/21 and plan on staying at either the GF or the Poly, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kim

Based on these, I'd say you have a good shot at seeing something show up later in the season :cutie:

Thank you for your great information!!! I know that you can never count on things to happen just like they did the year before, but one can always hope!! Thanks again for answering my question.

There won't be any kind of discount for your dates that go into Holiday Season. It's December 19-31 this year, so you will pay great globules of green for the 19th and 20th. Usually there are some decent AP and FL rates for the first half of the month, though.

We are traveling down there to do our Disney Vow Renewal, so we will have a package for 12/14-12/21/08 at one of the value resorts or the moderates and will only be booking the Gf or Poly for two nights, either 12/14-12/15 or 12/15-12/16, so maybe we can still get something since it isn't quite technicly "holiday week" yet. Thanks for your insight.

I am in Fl closer to New Orleans too, in Pensacola, DanDave you must be in Northwest Fl too. Its 3 hrs to Nola, 6.5-7 hrs to Disney!! I wish I could strike that and reverse it....

Thanks

Hi Miniefan! Yes, I'm in Panama City Beach. It takes us 6 1/2 - 7 hours, too. We have to travel almost an hour through lots of little communities on 231 before we even hit I 10. Uggh! It took less time to get there when we lived in Georgia.
If you are at a Value on the 19th and 20th, then it won't be so bad. The rate for those nights there is only $139 plus tax a night, up from $82 for the preceeding nights. I much preferred it when the rate for all nights of the vacation were based upon check-in day, but somehow Disney forgot to ask my opinion. ;)
