Hey everyone,

I am so worried because I booked a room at Port Orleans for 2 nights next week at the Florida Resident rate. Problem is: I don't have a Fl. id. My husband has a FL. drivers license but it is expired. We are living in AL. right now but still have a FL. address. Do you think his ID will work, or do we need to go get ID's at the DMV? I really don't want to have to do that!
Thanks!!!!!

Do you have utility bills or anything like that with either your or DH's name and your FL address? If so, you could try calling either CRO or the resort directly to see if that might work.

Good luck.:sunny:

I really do not know if they will take away your discount f you have an expired FL. DL. Do they even look at the expiration date?
The Cm may not even catch it, but if you want to play it safe, you could get the ID. I think you'll be fine. They usually just look at the picture, name and they will see it is a FL. DL.

Last year when we activated our Florida resident annual passes, we had just moved to Florida so I had just got a FL id, but my husband hadn't got his yet. He was able to show a utility bill (his name, with our Florida address) and his Maine license to prove he was a resident.

Because you have obviously never been to the DMV in Florida, where the wait time could be up to 5 hours! Trust me, I've waited in the line.

Ummmm I have, and the longest wait I've ever had has been about 20 minutes. Could be the time of day I'm going, and possibly the area of FL I live in. Never been to the DMV in FL.....look to the left and see where I'm from. :scratchin :bored:

Blessings,

Also Floridian...about 20 minutes away from the Lillian border in Alabama and I'd say just go the DMV and get it over with. Who wants to risk losing passes/ discounts over a wait at the DMV? I've personally never waited more than 30 minutes at the DMV here in Pensacola and that was without an appointment.

Maybe things have improved since your last time there?
