im sure its been asked before but if your kid is 15 but doesnt drive yet (ID wise) how does he or she get the FL res rate if they live in FL?

If you're a Florida resident 10 minutes from WDW it's probably a pretty cheap call to Universal Guest Services so you can ask them what are acceptable forms of ID for minors. Then you can let us know. Save yourself a whole bunch of what-ifs.

Whenever my family guys (14 year included), its more understood that they don't have an ID (even though she has a military ID so we don't necessarily have to worry about it). But, generally we have never been asked to show ID for someone that looks younger than 18ish.

Or you can just get him his learners permit since hes 15 .

He should be fine without a ID for Florida resident tickets, I remember when we went to Disney my friend is 18 and forgot a ID, the lady who was giving us the tickets explained to us that if a problem at the turnstiles arises then say she is under 18 and has no drivers license. But, Id call Universal to check the policy.

Well, You can very well purchase the FL resident ticket for the 15 year old.. However, you have to pick it up at a ticket window or guest services.. There is no will call kiosk or print at home for Florida residents. So you will have to list your child as the pick up person for the order and make sure they have a FL ID. It could be a school id from Florida as well....

I think also what was trying to be imparted was that on these types of questions it is much better to ask Uni than get info from the boards. Yes, when we went they told us not to worry about the kids when it came to FL Resident since they don't have ID. But I would hate for someone to go up there and drop off their 15 year old and then he is turned away for some weird reason, you would have a hard time saying that so and so ont he DIS board said it would be okay It would be much better to say that Susie in Customer service said that he did not need to bring anything since he can't drive yet and they don't do school ids at his school.
