FL Discount

I currently have a cruise booked for May on the Dream. I am noticing they are continuing to add FL Resident discounts for cruises in April. If they add one for our cruise in May, do I need to call to get the discount or does it automatically get applied? Thanks for any help - this is only our second DCL cruise!

You will have to call. You may not be eligible depending on how close your cruise is.

I was told that you actually cancel and rebook. So that's why you have to call. It's possible you might have to change room as well. But it's probably worth it for the discount.

This has never been the case for a FL resident discount. It usually only applies to *GT or military discounts when they are released. Historically, DCL has always applied the FL discount, if applicable and on request, to existing reservations.

It's not automatically applied - for instance I have to provide my travel agent with my proof of Florida residency since it's my second home whenever I sail.

100% true. You do not loose your stateroom #, dining options, etc.

FL resident is the only discount that can be applied to the original reservation, no penalty regardless of the timing. You do need to contact and request it; it will not be automatically applied.
