FJ Child Swap Question

We just visited IoA for the first time on Monday and the whole family rode FJ first thing. 3 of 4 of us LOVED it:thumbsup2 and want to ride it again Saturday before we leave. My 10yr daughter will NOT ride it again and has made it very clear. (Really, really freaked her out)
How does the CS work exactly? Does she wait in that room for the 3 of us to ride it and then meet her? Does an adult wait with her and then ride alone when the first two are finished? Can my son ride it twice in row with each of us adults?

Typically an adult will wait with the child in the CS room and then swap out when the other adult gets back. If you do it that way, your son will be able to ride with both of you.

Thinking of Travelling alone with my 2 kids next year. I know my oldest who will be 12 will love this ride, but I know my youngest will not.

Can I stay with my youngest and send my older child. I don't really want her waiting in line the whole time alone, and would she get lost getting back to us ?

Is there an age restriction for kids riding alone?

To ride alone the child must be 48". That's the only requirement. (for all the rides, though, of course, that doesn't work for the rides with reqs taller than that!)

In your situation I would go through the line and just exit when you get to the sorting hat, and let the older one go along. It's just a little bit of line after that.

Given that, I would think they would let a 10 year old go into the swap area alone...but if not, I wonder if you would feel comfy with her waiting in the gift shop after the ride? She could just exit after most of the line, and hang out there?

(everything said from the perspective of someone who was roaming with her fellow 10/11 year old friends at Great America in California all alone, and never got into trouble, never did anything stupid, and had a great time...)

Not only did they let my daughter stay in the room while we rode, a ride attendant stayed with her. :thumbsup2

BTW...
FJ was somehow even better the second time we rode it. Very, very cool!

My 10yr old daughter rode Spiderman 3 times and loved it, rode mummy twice no problem...but "could not, would not" ride FJ a second time.
