We're planning on going to IoA on Tuesday. We've ridden FJ before, but DH really did not like it - is there a chicken exit at the end of the queue for him to drop out while I ride? He's okay with waiting in line, just doesn't want to ride.
Also, anyone have a guess as to how long lines will be early-ish in the morning? We don't have early entry, or express passes. (We're really just going to Orlando for dinner at Ohana, and throwing in a morning at IoA)

Yep, as you leave the Gryffindor Common Room, and approach the Sorting Hat, there will be a TM asking how many in your party, and directing you to a lane. Tell the TM that he isn't riding, there is a door on the left (it's next to the test ride vehicle).

Lines have stabilized pretty well for FJ. Usually we see 30 min posted, that takes about 20, or maybe 45 that takes 30. That's usually arriving about 10ish, so it could be even less earlier. Our family, and a lot of others, tend to start on the Studios side, and then take the train, so if you go to IOA and FJ first thing, I wouldn't expect much line.

Awesome - thank you! We did FJ right after it opened - I'm not sure HOW, but we didn't see much of the castle because the wait was nonexistant, and we pretty much ran through the queue. So we're okay with a 30 min or so wait! lol

I would just walk through the loading platform, past the child swap and down the stairs, to the gift shop.
