Yesterday, I was was researching what new shoes to buy for DS and came across this article. He has been complaing of sore feet/arches so this has really made me rethink the types of shoe I had been buying him e.g. very supportive etc
The last part of the article about how people normally run is funny for me. I've always ran with hitting the ball (forefoot) of my foot rather then my heel on a stride which is opposite of most people.
I personally have not tried the FiveFinger shoes, but I know people that have and love them. I just need to convince my partner to allow me to try some and still be willing to be seen next to me at the gym.
Yeah, I'm the same forefoot first. I lived in Hawaii where I really never wore shoes and competed barefoot. Different matter now.
Does anyone have any experience wearing not as supportive shoes etc?
My DS does 12hrs of sport per week (intensive) where he has to wear protective shoes for 9 hours(rugby) but for the the other three, cross country etc any recs?
