After a delayed flight (we were in first class, who cares?) we arrived at MCO at 7:40 pm on 8/13 (about 33 minutes behind schedule). We proceed with our carry on luggage to L&M car rental. Things go smoothy at the counter, we have our Daewoo compact and are off to the Dolphin.
We arrive at the Dolphin to no line at registration (what a pretty lobby). The woman at the front desk looks up our reservation (through hotwire for 65.00 per night) and says "Oh, it's your anniversary, Happpy Anniversary". I had e-mailed before. She says "Let me make sure you have a good room" Oh yes, a lakeview balcony. We are psyched. "Does it have a King Bed" OF COURSE NOT!!!!! She then proceeds to manually scroll through available rooms w/King Beds (the presidential suite and governor suite was available, but she said she already knew our name was not Bush!). We got a lovely room , they are quite expansive, needed some sprucing up but up to par with the Yacht Club room we had in December (all refurbished rooms were already taken by a convention at the hotel)with a King Bed with a view of the lake (Fireworks at Epcot were to the left we could not see them, but heard them). She was so nice. I wasn't that concerned about balconys because I don't like bugs. We walked around and then drove to Goodings for provisions and called it a night. Tomorrow, EE at Magic Kingdom.
