Fitness Center WL

We'll be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I'm assuming as a guest you can use their fitness center free of charge?

Fitness center???? I lose all knowledge of what that is when at WDW.

I don't know about WL but at AKL there was a daily charge for becoming a "member" during your stay. I don't remember what the charge was. I only know because I went there for a massage. I would imagine that the other deluxes are similar.

What a funny story I have to tell....when we first stayed there in 2001 we thought that the fitness center was included and my DH went and they actually asked him for ID AFTER he was already working on equipment. You had to either be a member of the DVC or pay for a membership during your stay. They were not mean at all about making him leave but did remind him that you had to have the proper membership to be there. He was soooooooooooooooooooooo embarrassed.

A change last year is such that guests at a deluxe resort are permitted to use the fitness center (at their own resort only) without charge. Last week I did several workouts at Sturdy Branches. This is in the Villas section of WL, but open to all guests.

I believe that guests at the Poly can use the GF fitness center.

And I *think* that CSR guests are also allowed to use the fitness center gratis, even though CSR isn't a deluxe.
