Fitbit?

Oooo... I'm very curious about that device as well. Would love to hear if anyone on here has one and what they think of it! I may just break down and get a Garmin Forerunner 210 though.

I have had my fitbit since December last year and LOVE IT!!! It tracks my steps, distance, how many calories I have burned all day and my sleep. When you get near the computer that the docking station is plugged into, it downloads all of your info into the system so you can see your progress all month long.

I also like the fact it tracks my sleep patterns at night and is extremely tiny compared to my pedometer.

I can't say enough good things about it!:cool1:

I love my Fitbit...totally worth the cost. My tracking is within 2 steps. Great device!

I don't personally have one but everyone I have spoken to who does loves it. I have not had one person tell me they don't.

Interesting...I have a more neutral view of it. I like its small size and easy/wireless docking to sync to computer. However, the sleep function only occasionally works, which you'll notice is not uncommon if you read their message boards. The software/firmware updates did not work. I've decided I don't care enough about tracking my sleep, so I haven't sent it back or anything.

I think a high quality pedometer might have a better movement sensor. For example, a really bumpy car ride (3rd row of SUV) will give me 1000 steps! I got 2000 on Kilimanjaro Safaris at AK. Now granted, those problems don't affect my average day.

Also, there are not a good variety of choices of "other activities" to add to the profile. I think for the price of the item, the website functionality, graphs, etc. could be better done.

But overall, I've been wearing the Fitbit for 6 months, so I guess it's good enough! I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it, mainly because I think it's a little overpriced for my experience with it. But also, I'm cheap, so take my sense of value with a grain of salt! :lmao:
