I'm here and somehow my FitBit charging cord didn't make it with me. It was really low the day I left and I thought I would charge it but of course, no cord so I haven't been wearing it. Internally, I'm in turmoil because my numbers have plummeted but I've pretty much repressed it because if this is the one thing to go wrong with our trip, I'll take it!!! Sorry I couldn't do my test but we are having a blast. Thanks!!!

Hey, I just saw that you are all talking about my favorite fitness device! I've had a Fitbit since the Ultra came out. Eventually gave it to my husband and upgraded to the One, which I've had a couple of years now.

My Disney story: right after I gave my Ultra to my husband and was using the One we had a Disneyland trip. I said I wasn't bringing my One because I didn't want to lose it. He thought that was funny, and said he'd wear the Ultra. First day...you guessed it...he lost the Ultra. Sad for him, but I did notice in the lost and found no Ultra, but a couple of One's!

Anyway, I just recently added the Flex to my life. I really liked the accuracy of the One, but it wasn't so accurate when I was forgetting to put it on in the morning. Now I can switch when I want, so I'm happy.

I'm also trying to kick it up a notch and lose a few pounds. I've got 7 more to go, already lost about 10. I'm doing Weight Watchers Online, and really like it.

I'm looking forward to posting with you all!

Just updated my info for week 9/8 Mon- 9/14 Sun .

I haven't been keeping up with my goals :( I don't know if its the heat or my body is just tired from being sick or in pain since july. Seems like if its not one thing its another. One a good note, I've been eating better for breakfast and lunch. dinner is another story. My pants I bought not to long ago are starting to feel a lil loose. my face now has a outline when I smile , you can now see the shape of my jaw-lol!

I'm really hoping this heat goes away . I think that the heat is just dragging me down and making me not motivated. I know its no excuse but highblood pressure, diabetic, over weight plus heat is slowing me down and it hard staying motivated to exercise. I feel like a turtle-lol!

I got a FitBit today, and it already showed I had burned 632 calories as soon as I set it up. Why did it say that?

The calories burned includes your BMR (basal metabolic rate - the normal calories your body burns when you're not doing anything). I just put mine on and it already says 1150 calories - same thing. It counts total calories burned, not just calories burned through exercise.
It's not 100% accurate, though, because it doesn't take into account individual variations in BMR.

Any of you on WW, did you know that you can now sync your Fitbit with your WW account and it will automatically adjust your AP's? It seems like they are still working out the kinks, but I think it's a nice option.

I have had the zip for almost a year. Over several trips to Disney I will say this.

The average steps per day are about 25000. We stay at Boardwalk and will walk to and from Hollywood Studios.

When I ran the Wine and Dine Half Marathon last year, the steps for that day were 46,000.

I love the Fit Bit. It keeps me motivated.

I had a FitBit Force and now miss it. I hit 27,000 steps at Epcot in April. I think it was the highest I ever personally hit.

I have a Flex and it is really encouraging me to get out and move. I was concerned at first because my DH and I would do the same exact things and his would record 5k steps and mind would record 1k. Finally figured out that I just don't swing my arms enough when I walk (mostly because I have a small child latched to one of them while I'm walking). I moved it to my ankle and tested it for accuracy and I was good to go.

I have been thinking about getting the fitbit but so far haven't found the time to really research it. I've just started training to the tot run next year and am also on ww (although I pretty much stopped for the summer but want to get back on it). Right now I use map my fitness but I have to remember to start it and I only use it when I'm actually doing a workout. I'm thinking the fitbit may give me better information to know exactly what areas I need to improve. Can someone give me the pros and cons and why you chose the version you did?

Did my first 5K last night. Liked that my Fitbit kept my step count for me. Looking forward to seeing how it does at Disney when we go.
