Fitbit....help me decide

How about for other exercises? I'm currently getting back into Pilates and that's mostly floor exercises on a mat.

Activities such as biking, weight training, yoga, etc. can be added in manually. You can create a list of favorites and quickly input data that becomes integrated with the Fitbit info.

I love my zip - it forces me to get my steps in. It was my impression that calories burned was a combination of the exercise, plus calories burned just by being. There is no way my 5 miles walking burned over a thousand calories just on it's own.

My daughter in law attaches it to her sneaker when she is biking. When it's on your arm, you have to move your arm. When I'm shopping, I have one hand on the cart and the other I'm swinging while I walk. Otherwise it won't count the steps.

I love the flex!! I have used an equivalent of the zip (clip type monitor) from weight watchers. While you can forget any of them, I found myself changing into a sports bra and forgetting to pull it off my regular bra. It would make me so mad when I was a mile into a run knowing my steps weren't being counted. That doesn't happen with the flex, since I only take it off to charge once a week. It can be worn in the shower and pool which the zip can't.

We have the flex and we love it!! I very rarely use the sleep part though cause I know I sleep crappy :rotfl:

I have the Zip for about two weeks now. I have it synched with my computer. So far at least three times it did not snych. Take battery out, restart computer, etc.

I have four friends on it. It definitely motivates you to do more and more. The mornings I walk (4 to 5 x a week), I reach a minimum of 20,000 steps a day. The days that I don't walk no so good :crazy2:

I clip it on my pants/pant pocket.

Just got my One in the mail on Monday and so far, so good. I actually appreciate the sleep tracking. I have the vibrating alarm set, and it actually gets me up (as opposed to the clock next to my head).

My only problem is that it considers walking up hill as going up a flight of stairs. The walk I go on at lunch has a lot of hills, so my stair total has been way off the past two days.

I have the one and I LOVE it. I actually wear it clipped to the center portion of my bra, so know one knows I am wearing it. :lmao: At night you use a bracelet and it monitors your sleep. Believe it or not, it will show you how many calories you burn while sleeping also.

I have mine synced with my myfitnesspal app on my iphone plus I use the fitbit app on my phone and I log daily my food/calories. I can see when I earn calories due to walking/exercise.

I don't have any friends yet on fitbit for motivation, but personally just seeing my calories and steps has helped tremendously!

Hope you enjoy whichever fitbit you go with.

I have the One and I love it. I have it synced to myfitnesspal so when I log my food and activity it calculates my calories based on my fitbit.
