We will be at Disney at the end of July. 17yo DS really wants to go ocean fishing while we are in Florida. It would be neat to go out on a boat. Has anyone does this? We will have a car but I have no idea which direction I should even go. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well your pretty much smack dab in the middle of the state. If you head towards Daytona you will find some charter boats at the marinas in Port Orange. There's also New Symrna. Those are about 1.,5 hours away. If you head towards Tarpon springs S towards St Pete you will find Gulf charters. Typically the Atlantic side will target Sail Fish, Cobia, Wahoo etc while the Gulf side tends to focus on Grouper and Snapper. As an option you may want to consider Bass fishing near Orlando.

I'm assuming you are looking for a "party" boat. The Sea Love used to operate out of Ponce Inlet but the only listing I see for them now is in St Augustine. I know this is owned and operated by Capt Frank Timmons son so perhaps you could call and see they can offer help for the Ponce Inlet (Daytona) area. I'll leave a link.

There is at least one party boat charter co in Cocoa however I have zero experience with this company.
