Fishing Excursions?

We are looking for activities for our no parks trip. Has anyone taken a fishing excursion recently that can comment? I know several resorts offer the 2 hour trips and am wondering which resorts are better than others or if they are all about equal. We will be visiting in the fall-is the fishing slow that time of year? It looks like parasailing and a 2 hour fishing excursion would be about equal in price with the 20% off coupon I found so we are considering both if anyone has advice or opinions--please share!

I booked one for my husband as a surprise in February this year. It was fantastic! We had a great guide (Ask for Don). He was a former boat captain from the North East. We choose to leave from our resort, the Poly. He picked us up at the marina and took us to two different places along Seven Seas Lagoon. We did the mid-morning excursion and it was perfect. Our guide told us it was his favorite time for excursions as well. I had never fished before and I caught several. A few tips... make sure you bring money to tip the guide as I completely forgot and had to scramble to find an ATM that was working. (The one at Poly wasn’t at the time.) Also, when I called the special excursions line the lady that booked us did not know that you could leave from any resort with a dedicated marina as it doesn’t show that way in her system. I had to tell her I wanted to leave from the Poly and she was able to note it.
