Has anyone ever done a fishing excursion at The World? My husband wants to go on one during our next trip but I want to make sure it's worth the money. Any opinions?

I am trying to get information as well. Will they pair you up with another group if you do not have five people?

My dh has done the fishing trip many times. He loves it (of course, he loves to fish anywhere!). I think there was only one trip when he did not catch anything. He usually catches a bunch. It is catch and release so it is stocked with some fairly large bass (I think they're bass).

He has gone in several spots...he likes going in the lake behind the contemporary best. It is very expensive, but whether it is worth it I guess is a personal decision. Before we had dd, I think this was the highlight of his trip (he doesn't love the parks as much as I do).

As far as matching you up with other people, I do not believe they do this. You have to make a reservation ahead of time and he always goes at a very early hour, so it's not like there are people hanging around deciding to go. I think you would have to find another group to share the expense with on your own.

Hi! We've been on a few fishing trips. My parents have taken me, my DH, my sister and her DF. We have a blast. They bait the fish and even take it off the hook for you if you want. And if you don't catch one, they even try and do that for you. It's really a good time.

DH thinks it is definitely worth it! He and DS12 were invited on a fishing trip in August (friends who had already booked the excursion who had 2 open spaces). I think it was the highlight of his trip. He caught a few fish (plus a small alligator!), they got some great pictures with downtown disney in the background. For our upcoming trip (in one month from today  ) we booked an excursion out of the Contemporary. DH and DS13 are really looking forward to it!

We've heard so many good things about these fishing excursions that we have booked one for ourselves for our upcoming trip. We'll be there with a large group of family and friends so coming up with a few people to help split the cost wasn't difficult. We're taking my 75 year old dad out fishing with us - it's the one part of this trip he's most excited about.
