We enjoyed a great fishing excursion while we were there in September and with my boys getting older and really into fishing, I thought it was a great thing we could enjoy as a family. The price in September $230, for 2 hours, for up to 5 people. Expensive I thought but worth it since the boys are just now really starting to get into fishing. We splurged.
Well, I just read about the change in rates to a per person charge and it will now be $125 per person. For my family of 4 that will be $600 for 2 hours of fishing!!!
I'm sorry, but I find that to be more than a little unreasonable.
What are they thinking? There goes any future fishing excursions for us. Anyone else think this increase is more than a little overboard? I mean all you get is drinks, some bait and someone to drive the boat. The guide does bait the hooks and take the fish off, but we could very well do that ourselves.
Are you allowed to fish off the boats if you rent them yourselves and bring gear, bait, etc?
