Fishing Excursion from AKL - how inconvenient?

DH would really like to do a 7 AM fishing excursion, but we are staying at AKL. (We were going to do a split stay, but now we aren't.)

Does anybody have any experience with trying to go to a marina (probably the Contemporary) by taxi that early in the morning? I guess the logistics aren't really THAT difficult if he allows plenty of time to get to CR and walk over to the dock.

i wondered about the same thing. i just booked a excursion from WL at 7am in June. was happy to find out they will pick us up at the dock at our resort.


im thinking you may need to do the taxi thing. you should be there 15 minutes early.

Yep, the whole process would be simpler if we were at a resort with a dock. But then again, DH taking a cab to another resort wouldn't be as much of a labor intensive project as checking out, moving all of our luggage to another resort, checking in, and getting settled again!

It shouldn't be that difficult. All he needs to do is go out to the front and have one of the bell people get him a cab.

I'd give him extra time to get there. The way I see it, if he's early, he can always find something else to occupy his time. But if he's late........
