Fishing charter

We are planning our trip to Aulani and I am looking to book a fishing charter, just looking for any recommendations or tips!! Thanks

Our group used Boom Boom when we were there in 2014. They had a great time and and said the boot was really nice.

I know my kids would love a fishing trip, but I'm not sure we'll be able to $$$wing that on top of a cruise and Aulani. Are there any places (really on any island) for fishing from shore? Understand that's not the same kind of fishing, but the like all kinds. TIA!

We used boomboomsportfishing.com when we went. Part of the reason that we used them was that we could take some of the fish that we caught with us, which wasn't offered on some other tours (the fish is property of the boat). We never made it out to the fishing spot they were trying to take us to....we hooked a marlin on the way, which eventually broke the line (they thought it was over 300 pounds). We then caught a yellowfin tuna that was over 100 pounds. This was in the first 2 hours we were out. We had booked a 6 hour tour, but ended up going back in at about 3 hours because a couple of my kids and I weren't feeling well (I ended up in bed with a stomach bug, so I don't think mine was due to the rock of the boat). The crew was nice, and even checked on us the next day when we were at the harbor again for a different tour. We took enough fish back to the hotel for 3 meals. We had a private charter and I know they were booked for the week with private charters, so if you were looking for a shared charter it might be more difficult depending on the time of the year.
