Fishing at Vero

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with fishing either on site or very close by. We were thinking about something fresh water so my husband can take my 7 year old son and my 10 year old nephew. Thanks for your help.

I don't think you'll get much freshwater fishing in that area, but there is a lot of fishing done from the Sabastian Inlet just north of the resort. I'm not sure if you have to pay to get into the Sabastian conservation/park area but I've seen a lot of folks with kids fishing from that area with rods as you get a lot of fish in the chanel between the ocean and the intracoastal waterway.
