Fishing at the Fort

Can someone tell me about fishing at FW? Is it cane pole rental like at POR or can you bring your own fishing gear? Thanks

You can bring your own gear, I did and had a great time fishing in the canal, I didn't get a chance to fish any of the other areas. Didn't catch anything tho

Jonell, like Goofy14sure said, you can fish in the canals. It is catch-and-release. The Bike Barn recently put up some signs on the fences around them to encourage fishing and they rent poles or BYO. The BB sells worms but I've heard the Fort fish like hot dog bits and bologna too.

This is right up his alley.

Like Ed said, the fish there love hotdogs. I snuck off one morning around the lake and landed a couple nice bass on some pieces roughly a half inch long. I brought my own gear, but you can rent it if storage room is an issue.
