Fishing at Disney/Orlando?

I am no fisherman, but we stay at Port Orleans Riverside (POR) and they have fishing there. If you really like to fish, you probably would like POR. It just has that kind of ambience. My DH really likes to ride the river to Downtown Disney from the resort. I think he could just do that all day.

There are many lakes for fishing in Orlando. I would look on the net for fishing on Lake Toho and their string of lakes. They hold fishing tournaments on that lake.

Thanks, I'll check out lake Toho.

This Winter I saw a few people fishing at the little dock at POR. I know they provide rental cane poles and bait, but do you know if you can use your own equipment?

Over at the pier at the YT and BC they book fishing trips for 2 hrs, I believe the last time we went it was 115.00, they provided everything, rod, bait, and your captain of course. Great way to start the day, and the young fishermen would really enjoy it. My son and Grandson and I are thinking about booking on our next trip which is coming up in late June.

Was the trip strictly fishing for largemouth bass?
